    Sport and Recreation Operations Certificate

An introductory level qualification specifically designed for sport and recreation assistants/ pool attendants working, or aspiring to work in a range of sport and recreation facilities including sports centres, swimming pools and health and fitness clubs. It provides candidates with essential background knowledge in a number of core subjects which will enable them to develop their skills in the work place, whilst also allowing individuals to specialise in a number of areas of their choice.

Sport and Recreation Supervisory Management Certificate

The role of the supervisor is a crucial one in all sport and recreation organisations. Supervisors are not only responsible for the day to day performance of other staff, they are usually the first point of contact with customers. To do this job effectively requires an extensive range of skills and a considerable amount of confidence. This qualification has been specifically designed to address the needs of those stepping up the early rungs of the managerial ladder.

    Sport and Recreation Management Certificate

This qualification is aimed at managers of facilities, sports development officers, duty officers and those wishing to enter the profession. Candidates must successfully complete the twelve units from the professional sports management pathway of the City and Guilds Higher Professional Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management.

Alternatively, graduates who have gained an ISRM accredited degree in sports management can gain the ISRM Sport and Recreation Management Certificate via the full exemption route.

It is the essential professional qualification for those working in the industry and leads to full membership of ISRM for candidates who have the requisite industry experience.
