Does your pool measure up to the publicly available specifications (PAS 65/PAS39) from the British Standards Institution? The ISRM National Pool Safety Award is an initiative which provides a framework for promoting high standards of pool safety in the UK and recognises good practice.
The Award is designed to complement and support ISRM's advice on risk assessment for child admissions during unprogrammed swimming sessions. It relates specifically to those situations when children are able to swim or when a responsible person is seeking to accompany more than 2 children between the ages of 4-7, or more than one child aged 3 and under.
The Baby Friendly Swimming Pool Campaign is the first initiative of its kind and aims to encourage more adult and baby swimmers to visit your pool.
