Olympics 2012 Commons oral answer - 24 May 2004

The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Tessa Jowell Mp, stated that a master plan prepared earlier this year by the London Development Agency set out plans for the lower Lea Valley to accommodate staging the Olympics in 2012. Outline planning permission is being sought for these proposals. She congratulated and thanked Barbara Cassani and welcomed Seb Coe's leadership. She said she had recently met with the CBI and welcomed London's business support for the bid.
