An introductory qualification designed for front-line staff, including sport and recreation assistants, leisure attendants, etc., working in a range of sport and recreation facilities. It provides essential background knowledge in a wide range of subjects. It is also the initial qualification to assist those keen to progress their careers onto higher levels.
It is a 10 unit qualification as follows:

Unit 4 - Facility Preparation and Cleanliness
Unit 5 - Child Protection and Disability Awareness
Part 2:
Unit 6 - Sports Hall Operations
Unit 7 - Swimming Pool Operations
Unit 8 - Health and Exercise Participation
Unit 9 - Reception Skills
Unit 10 - Administration and Written Communication
