The ASA/ISRM Pool Swimming Standard Award

ISRM/ASA 'Baby friendly swimming pool campaign'
The Baby Friendly Swimming Pool Campaign is the first initiative of its kind and aims to encourage more adult and baby swimmers to visit your pool.

The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISRM) recognise that one of the biggest barriers for parents taking their babies swimming is finding a local swimming pool that they are confident is baby-friendly. The questionnaire was devised by the ISRM and ASA who are working in association with Kimberly-Clark HUGGIES® Little Swimmers® in order to help families across the UK enjoy the benefits of swimming and encourage them to visit your pool. The Baby Friendly Swimming Pool Directory certifies pools that meet the required baby friendly standard based on a range of criteria including changing room and swimming pool facilities and services.

All approved pools are listed on a Baby Friendly Swimming Pool Directory via www.littleswimmers.com/uk. Using the directory parents can easily identify their nearest Baby Friendly Approved Pool. Baby pools that have already received confirmation of approved status do not need to reapply.
