Events Management Certificate

Whether planning to organise a major sporting competition, an entertainment event, or a specialist event such as a dog show, the Event Management Certificate course provides the essential 'tool kit' for supervisors and management staff. The course focuses on the operation of health and safety and legal requirements for events held at sport and recreation centres. It is equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework.

Who should enrol?

Established supervisors and duty officers who wish to develop their knowledge
Duty managers who are likely to have operational responsibility at the event
Centre managers who wish to improve their understanding and awareness of events to broaden their managerial experience
Sports development officers and managers who have a remit to deliver events
Community projects and arts development officers seeking to broaden their knowledge
Catering managers/licensees who would like further training prior to diversifying into organising events
ISRM students who would like to acquire a deeper understanding of the issues to assist with their other course studies at Certificate and Diploma level

Assessment

This course is assessed by a written test and a work based assignment of not less than 1500 words. Course attendees will be given six weeks to complete and submit their assignments after the course. Upon successful completion of both assessments candidates will be awarded the ISRM Event Management Certificate.
