Fellowship
Fellowship of the Institute is the highest grade of individual membership and carries with it the recognition and prestige of a committed professional who has earned the right to the title of Fellow through the contribution they have made to the Institute, our objectives and sport and recreation.
Fellows of the Institute are entitled to use the Designatory letters "F.Inst.SRM". Fellows of the Institute who have passed the Diploma examination are entitled to use the Designatory letters "F.Inst.SRM.Hons".
To apply for Fellowship of the ISRM members must be nominated by a colleague or member of the regional executive and must meet the following criteria.
- Must be an ISRM individual Diploma Member.
- Must have been a member for at least 10 years.
- Can demonstrate a commitment to Continuing Professional Development of self and others.
- Must have made a worthy contribution to the objectives of the Institute, e.g.
- made a significant contribution as a member of one of the Institute's National Boards or Forums (not simply participating but making a significant contribution to the success of a policy or strategy or initiative).
- and/or represented the Institute on an external body whose work has a major influence on the ISRM
- and/or contributed to the work of an external body which has been of significant value to that body and that contribution has enhanced the reputation of the ISRM
Supplementary criteria that will be taken into account include:
- Has been a strong supporter of the ISRM, contributing to the work of the Institute.
- And/or has been a strong supporter of the ISRM in their own workplace for a considerable period of time.
- And/or has made a significant contribution to the work of a forum e.g. Examination and assessment process, Technical Forum, Equality Action Group, etc.
2007 Membership fee
£105.00 inc. VAT. A discount is available for paying by Direct Debit (conditions apply).
