What is a Corporate Affiliate?

This category of membership is for local authorities, LEAs, trusts, health clubs, hotels, governing bodies and other private sector providers of sport and recreation facilities. Also for individual schools, community sports clubs and company sports and social clubs.

PLEASE NOTE: ISRM has a separate category of corporate affiliation for further and higher education institutions, with a benefits package aimed specifically at lecturers and students. For more information click here or call 01509 226474.

Benefits of affiliation

Cutting edge information – regular mailings containing information on meetings and policy developments, as well as ISRM’s famous ‘Information Notes’, covering health and safety, technical issues and sport and recreation management and development.
ISRM website – Access to the secure members area of www.isrm.co.uk, containing a full library of ISRM information and guidance notes.
Advisory service – access to ISRM’s advisory service.
Discounts – on courses and professional development seminars, as well as on many of ISRM’s products and publications.
‘Recreation’ magazine – issued 10 times a year (4 copies per issue), ‘Recreation’ contains articles on all aspects of sport and recreation provision. Affiliates also receive discounts on advertising in ‘Recreation’.
Members directory – this is an online resource and as part of your membership your organisation will be listed here along with contact information.
Networking – access to the regional network of sport and recreation professionals.
Vocational training – advance notice of industry relevant training opportunities taking place around the country.
Job vacancies – industry specific job vacancies information directly mailed to your organisation – access to a discounted rate with our partners www.leisurejobs.com.
Representation – ISRM works at the highest level on behalf of its members and affiliates to influence Government, national agencies and European institutions.
Use of logo – entitled to use the ISRM affiliate logo on promotional material, subject to appropriate terms and conditions.

Please note that Corporate Affiliates do not receive voting rights.

Cost of being an ISRM Corporate affiliate

The Corporate Affiliate fee is £235.00 (inclusive of VAT), as at 1 January 2009. If you are a corporate member of SPORTA or YST the corporate affiliate fee is £211.50 (including VAT). Please tick the relevant box on your application form to qualify for this discount.

(Corporate affiliate membership runs from from 1 April to 31 March each year. You will be invoiced pro-rata depending on your date of joining).
